A very large chainsaw and a jig with a guide were used to cut this large black oak trunk into pieces small enough to run through the sawmill. After drying over the summer, this wood was milled and used as flooring in the custom home built where the oak tree used to be. Some of the highly figured portions were used to make a beautiful dining table for the same home. Using native, local, or reclaimed wood for table building is a speciality of Toro Tables.
